This week, Brookland School was buzzing with excitement as we hosted our highly successful Careers Day! Organised by our dedicated staff, the day offered an incredible opportunity for our students to explore a range of careers and gain practical, hands-on experience while interacting with professionals from various fields.
Inspiring Professionals, Engaged Students
We had the privilege of welcoming a talented group of professionals who generously shared their time, expertise, and career journeys with our students. Among the trades represented were a music producer, a paramedic, a physiotherapist, and a painter and decorator, alongside several others.
Our students enthusiastically participated in the workshops and activities. Highlights included recording their own music and trying their hand at singing—a fantastic insight into the music industry. Meanwhile, some students tapped into their creative sides by redecorating one of our classrooms under the guidance of a professional painter and decorator.
The day wasn’t just about having fun (though there was plenty of that!); it also opened our students' minds to the many exciting possibilities available to them after finishing formal education.
Positive Feedback and Future Plans
The feedback from both students and parents has been overwhelmingly positive. Students found the day exciting, insightful, and motivating, while parents appreciated the exposure to such a range of careers.
We’re thrilled with the success of this year’s Careers Day and are already looking forward to planning another for next year! These events are invaluable in helping students gain clarity about their future, build confidence, and understand the wealth of possibilities they can strive for.
